the show; many scouring the dealers' tables for that button they wanted but
didn't get earlier, and, ofcourse, the sadness ofthe many goodbyes to friends
we probably won't see again till next year. Time passed so fast that Freddie
forgot his own meeting of state presidents and editors at I o'clock until
someone came and got him. (He was busy getting trays for Bob Folsom to
photograph.) Soon the room was cleared and the Exhibits Committee prepared
to check out trays. As the competitors picked up their trays and checked out,
the dealers started the task of packing boxes for their return home. At this
point, the goodbyes became more emotional and the hugs a little tighter. After
a year of living in the shadow of the Big "C", we felt doubly blessed to have
had another chance to be with our beloved button family.
