o'clock, the "Judging Review
and Tray Discussion"
(commonly known as the gripe
session) was conducted by
Tammy Jones. Although many
subjects were discussed, the
gnpes were minimal and I
believe most left with a feeling
of satisfaction both for their
new acquisition of knowledge
and for the good quality of
judging. Also at 3 o'clock,
Elaine Cossman told us all we
ever wanted to know about
Bakelite buttons in her
Jane Beck, Claire Garrity and Jan Bocher
know how to kick up their heels.

Directors again met to solidify any pending
business. In the meantime, back in the
showroom, a hot contest was going on
among those in attendance. The Wisconsin
Society had on display 40 trays of buttons
for educational purposes. Among these was
a tray of paperweight buttons and the
contest was for those who felt smart enough
to identify the maker of each button. No one
identified them all corectly, but four people
did get the same high score and each of
them was presented with a paperweight
button. When the show room closed at 6, we
