the sections-beginning with fabrics and ending
with plastics. To make things even better, he had
all the buttons shown in the slides displayed so
all could enjoy them "in person". All in all-a
very good evening, but suddenly the realization
that tomorrow was the end of the show
descended upon us.
Saturday morning began with the Annual
Breakfast and we were all surprised and
delighted when we were presented with our
souvenir button upon entering. The button
certainly deserved an explanation. It was an
extra-large Battersea pewter button showing a
three dimensional collage of the city of Madison.
If space permits, I will show this button with
descriptions of the place depicted. On the back
was the famous Battersea head shank-only this
time we knew whose head that was-Daniel
Baughmann of Battersea Buttons. He was tn

The roorn was festooned with red, white and black balloons arising from
the red geraniurrr centetpieces. The President thanked the WSBS for the great
convention, the secretary gave her report and gathered information of
attendance by states. Finally, a moment of silence was observed to pay tribute
to our rnembers rvho departed this life in the last year. To cap off the
breakfast, each of the past
NBS presidents was
presented with a lovely
clock with the inscription
"ln appreciation for your
years of dedication to the
National Button Society-
President 19- - 19-" and
then the past president's
name. What an honor and
thrill!
