It was obvious that Tammy
had spent many hours
anticipating any questions
that might arise. This
meeting was followed by the
Classification Meeting.
Again, to my delight, this
meeting was well attended
with lots of input. Since this
was my final year as senior
chair of this committee. I
turned the meeting over to
my co-chairs, Jean Longo The judging team of Helen Lampman and

the rules. That evening, we were all treated to entertainrnent by a great
barbershop quartet, and a surprise binhday party lor John Whiteford.
On Tuesday morning, the Exhibits Committee and the Clerks began their
work at 7:30. The last-minute trays were enteled. each was recorded. counted
and placed on tables to be judged. Shortly after l0:30, the prelirrinary work
was done and Tamrny Jones called out tl.re names of the judging teams and
their clerks-and

already aware
that this was a
BIG show, but
the 2,055 trays
entered in com-
petition was
really over-
whelming. I
