       followed by a great rneeting
       for judges and clerks
       conducted by Tamrny Jones.
       It was obvious that Tammy
       had spent many hours
       anticipating any questions
       that might arise. This
       meeting was followed by the
       Classification Meeting.
       Again, to my delight, this
       meeting was well attended
with lots of input. Since this
was my final year as senior
       chair of this committee. I
       turned the meeting over to
my co-chairs, Jean Longo The judging team of Helen Lampman and

the rules. That evening, we were all treated to entertainrnent by a great
barbershop quartet, and a surprise binhday party lor John Whiteford.
On Tuesday morning, the Exhibits Committee and the Clerks began their
work at 7:30. The last-minute trays were enteled. each was recorded. counted

was done and Tamrny Jones called out tl.re names of the judging teams and
       their clerks-and
       the j udging
       began. We were
       already aware
       that this was a
       BIG show, but
       the 2,055 trays
       entered in com-

       really over-
       whelming. I
       was panicularly
       in-rpressed with
