Another successful show was over. To the
Wisconsin State Button Society and especially to
"The Committee", we express our deepest gratitude
for a job well done. For one all too shorl week, we
lived in the fantasy world of buttondom!
As we headed home on Sunday, we found that
all was not well. Although the weather was flyable
in Madison, the connecting points were all closed.
As a result, we had our own rnini-convention at the
airport. Even those who left on Saturday aftemoon
had been returned to Madison when they couldn't
land in Chicago. Finally, two hours after our
scheduled flight, we took off, landing in Cincinnati
after our connecting flight had depafied. I think we
set a record for missing planes that day. When we
finally anived in Houston, 7- I /2 hours later than our
scheduled anival time, we were tired but very happy
to be home-and boy, did my bed f-eel good!
The Good Lord willing, we will rnake it to
Tacorna next August for another wonderful family Bea Campbell's
reunion. See you there! grandson, Brian, was
everl,bodv's sweetheart.
P.S. Again, we are deeplv indebtetl to Micki Mevr lbr ull

Dear Button Friends:
We were overjoyed to have you come from near and far to attend our "dcbut"
as hosts of the 1997 National Button Society Conventiorr in Madison!
We appreciated the tasks done by the valious committees, the judges and
clerks, the dealers, the show managers and all the others who gavc of themselves
so willingly to help make "Adventure in Dairyland" a successf'ul convention .
We couldn't have done it without you!
Thank you one and all seems insufficient but the words come tiom our heafts.
