We have reviewed the accompanying statement of assets, liabilities, and fund balances - cash
basis of the National Button Society (a nonprofit organization) as of December 31, 1997, and
the related statements of activities, fund balances, and cash flows for the year then ended, ir,
accordance with statements ot standards for Accounting and Review services issued bv the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. All intormation included in these financial
statements is the representation of the management of the National Button Societv.
A review consists principally of inquiries of organization personnel and analytical procedures
applied to financial data. lt is substantially less in scope than an audit in accordance with
generally accepted auditing stanciards, the objective of which is the expression of an opinion
regarding the financial statements taken as a whole. Accordingly, we do not express such
an oDrnlon.
Based on our review, we are not aware of any material modilications that should be made to
accompanying financial statements in order for them to be in conformitv with the cash basis
of accountino.
