Stefan Schiff of Virginia selected the greatest variety possible from his
l8th century buttons to win the coveted George and Vivianne Ertell Memorial
Award last year. It was entered under Div. I, Sec. 20, Cl. 360L, 25 any size,
1Sth Century Assorted. Limited to those who have never won this award.
This ends the pictures of winning trays from our 1997 Show. I always tell
our photographer, Bob Folsom, that this is our harvest. The pictures selected to
be shown are usually those which will show best in print. We only wish we
could show all the winners. Again, I want to thank Bob Folsom for his patience
and hard work in photographing these trays at the show and extend a special
thanks to Susan Poner of California, who acted as mv "so-fer" at the show.
