                          National  Button Society Organized Nov. 19, 1938

                                         CONSTITUTION
                                            Article I
                                        Name and Object
                Section 1.  This olganization  shall be known as the National Button Society.
                Section 2.  The objects  of the socie'uy are to bling into a relation of mutual
                  helpfulness  and cooperation ot'ganizations and  persons who pursue the
                  hobby of collecting buttons, to promote  educational  exhibitions, to en-
                  courage lesearch,  to publish  and disseminate information among its mem-
                  bers, and to preserve fol  future generations all that is beautiful and
                  historical in buttons.
                                            Article II

                                           Government
                Section  1. The elective officers of the society  shall consist  of a President,  a
                  First Vice-President, a Second  Vice-President, a Tteasurer,  and a Board
                  of Directors, who, excepting for the Boald of Directors, shall hold office
                  for one year, or until their successols  ale elected and qualified.
                Sectlon  2. The Secletary of the society, the Editor"  of its publications,  and
                  such other officers or employees  as may, from time to time, become  neces-
                  sary for the ploper  conduct  of the work of the society,  shall be employed
                  by the President,  by and with the advice aud consent of the Board of Dl-
                  rectors, upon such terms,  and for such length of service  as seems  desir-
                  able, but not to exceed, however,  a three  yeai' term of service.
                                            Article III

                                           tr{embershiP
                Section 1. Membelship in the society shall be open to all individuals who
                  are interested in the hob'ry of collecting  buttons,  and who desire to eo-
                  opel'ate in the objectives  and  purposes of the society.
                                            Article IV
                                            Meetings
                Section 1. The time and place of the annual rneeting  shall  be detertnined by
                  the Board of Directors.
                Sectlon 2. A special meeting  may be called  by order of the Board of Di-
                  rectors, or by the Presideut  with the consent of three other omcers.
                  Proper notiflcation of such special meeting shall be given  the members,
                  together with a brief statement of the purpose  of the meeting.
