       Conclusions

Although it has never been our policy to advertise dealers in these pages,
we felt that an exception would have to be made at this time. How else could
we bring you all of this information that these three dealers have experienced
       first hand?
We believe others throughout the country may also be importing Czech
glass buttons. We focused on these three because they are members of the
National Button Society and because they are willing to share buttons and
first-hand accounts with all of us.
We acknowledge the obvious - that this is a new adventure in old
fashioned capitalism by entrepreneurial Americans. They saw this window of
opportunity and are taking full advantage ofthis new renaissance ofbeautiful
Czech glass. The)' are the risk-takers in a venture composed of investment,
time, travel and above all, hope in the desirability and the collectibility of
these buttons. We, as collectors, owe them a debt of gratitude.
Our emphasis has been on new Czech glass, but also discovered are
treasure troves of both pre- and post-WWl buttons from Czechoslovakia.
          We remind you
. Some of these buttons are from new urolds
. Some of these buttons are from old rnolds
. Some of these button are brand new designs commissioned by the dealers
. Some of these buttons are repeats frorn old designs

Now is the tirne to look for and acquire these buttons. Because of the
labor intensity as the economy rises, there will be fewer workers and closed
factories. We were lucky to have had 15 years or so of West German glass
production. If this same time frame holds true for this Czech glass, then we
have only l0 or so years of production awaiting us.
So now Why not "Czech" out the new Czech glass on the following
       color pages.
