This great looking lion was painted in a wet
wash on an extra large casein button. It was
brought for photographic consideration by
Bryan Gilben, the president of the Santa Clara
Valley Button Club.
Mv assistant. Lucille
Weingarten, hit the deluxe lode with this rare signed
button. The pretty lady's head is "sculpted" in layers
of white enamel against black to give the inimitable
dimensional effect for which Limoges is famous.
Although it is a black and white enamel, it is
specifically a true Limoges engrissaile.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Wilda Gould
of Michigan. The name itself should evoke pleasant mernories of
her many informative articles for both "Just Buttons" magazine and
our National Button Bulletin.
Wilda was a past editor of the Michigan Bulletin and had been,
until recently, an active participant in many facets of both her state
and local clubs. She enjoyed doing research and was generous with
sharing information.
Our sincere condolences to her daughters, grandchildren and to
her many Michigan friends and to her extended button family. We
will miss her.
