Note from the Awards Chairman
After some consultation with the Classification Chairman and the
Chairman of Judges it was decided that some notes should be
included to furlher explain or clarify some of the above awards.
In general, if an award does not specify a material or the
exclusion of embellishment, the rule is assorted material and
embellishment is allowed.
Award 23. Couples should be interpreted as pairs because it is so
difficult to determine gender in many species.
Award 54. Victorian celluloid shall be interpreted as those with
thin sheets of celluloid with fancy mountings, these include perforates
and stick-ups.
Limited awards unless otherwise designated shall infer the entrant
has not won in that class or at NBS.
Now in the matter of entering awards for 2000, please wait until
you receive your May Bulletin with the form, or write me for forms.
PLEASE DO NOT USE ODD SHEETS OF PAPER. PLEASE DO
NOT SEND CASH WITH YOUR AWARDS. It is much safer to
hold your awards until after May 1st as I am on the road a great deal
in the spring.
Thanks,
Mart,
