NATTONAT BUTToN BULLETTN July-August' 1968
                        THE BULLETIN IEi LATE
Midnight, April 25, 1968, I\ltr' Glen E' Toalson sufiered a near fatal heart
attani. As Uiis irote is'written the flrst week ilr June, my husband is still hos-
piiaUzi,a, is matlng a satisfactory recovery, but faces weeks of inactivity while
        convs,lescing a,t home.
His illness followed closely a great tra8iedy that came into our lives in Ma.rch.
There is no doubt that most N.B.s. members will fully understand that all
*V ;;i[; your naitor ha^s been, and is berng done under difiiculty, and will bear
wiih me with patience and undersianding.
                                                       Grace II. Toalson

                       THE ANNUAL DIREtrTERY

The Membership of the National Button Society, up to and irlcluding May 15,
196S, is ilesented in'this issue. Following the gratifying epproval thatlefb no doubt
in oiu ininOs that our members appreciated the assigning of members to their
iespective States of residence, the procedure of 1967 has been followed by Secre-
iaii urs. .rames C. Booth for the year 1968. We feel that this Directory will be
rec6ived with the same enthusiasm as was expressed last year. Later enrollment
*iu app."" in september-october and November-December issues of the BULT.I:-
        TIN.
Mrs. Booth worked hard to make this Directory as complete as possible. It wa.s
her tremendous responsibility, while the State Society and District CIub Directory
\ras ermpiled by the N.B.B. eotor. If the latter Dtectory fails to E: completely
up+o-aite in iome instances, the fault lies within the State or District Club
organization. The required information was requested early, and_the co-operation
of-many state presid6nts and other ofiicers is deeply appreciated.-In other cases
letters had to be written, and searching of State Bulletins was also done. Too much
time was consumed, and it should not have been necessary.
                                                    GFIACE H. TOAI.SON
