On November 23,1947, a meetlng: of Ohio button collectors was held at the
Dashler--Wallick Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. At this meeting, an org:anization
called the Buckeye Stnte Button Club was formed. The following omcers were
elected:-
President, 1\lr. Rolland E. Schneider, 6503 Montgomery Road, Cincinnarr
Vice-president, IIrs. D. D. Houghton, Orrville
Sccretary-Treasurer, IIr. Carl Van Voorhis,255 Newark Road, Mt. Vernon
The President appointed the following members to draft a Constitution and
If-\'-Laws-Il'{rs. Blanche Lower, Cleveland; Judg,) Chester Pentlleton, Findlay;
Ur. Camp-bell Scarlett, Columbus; Mrs. Lida Erman, and Mrs. Nettie Hess, both of
Painesvllle.
The State was well represented with collectors present from all sections.
Icy roads, however, kept a number of persons from attending. An invitation is
extended to all eollectors of the State of Ohlo to Join this organlzation and. persons

in the .Eas_t Junlor High School. Thc pupils are permittcd to choose rvhaiever
lnterests them for "Student -A,ctlvities"-Music, Art. Hobbies. etc. Miss Osborn
named Button Collecting among other susse.stions and thb response was so
€nthusiastic that it was necessary to form two Junior Htgh Butt<in Clubs, with
