The buttons ale indeed beautiful, the workmanship excellent and the
designs accurately scaled. Mrs. Parker exhibited fifty-four buttons tn
sample cases, attractively embroidered in red, Iavender, gold' blue, pink'
purple, and green. She had also other original cards to exhibit from her
collection of these buttons made by J. & J. Cash, of Coventry. We wish it
rnight be possible to show her collect.ion in its entirety for they made a most
striking picture. Buttons such as these add both color and beauty to any
tlay of cloth covered buttons.
ANNOUNCE}IENT
We want to thank each person v'ho helped with both programs, the
Ilaterials Clinic and The Forum, especially those who substituted with little
or no notice. We printed the nranusclipt as prepared by Jane F. Adams,
fol the trIaterials Clinic but each petson who participated added some of
their own material which has rtot been t'ecorded here for the reason that
this progl'am material was in the plinter"s hands before the Show.
There was such an abundauce of Show naterial to use in this issue'
that we felt it best to postpone our feature article on Pearl Buttons until
our next issue. There are a gleitt many splendid illustrations which should
pl'ove to be of great value fot' club pt'ogram material.
The talks given at The tr'omn.. by Mrs. Hortense Scales and Mrs.
Dorothy waldron on various types of pearl buttons will be incorporated in
our discussion of Pearl buttotls.
