PASTORAL PAINTINGS UNDER GLASS
It is most uDusual to fiild an entile group of buttoDs, such ag this, with
paintings ou the underside of the glass, and were we able to understand the
artist's portrayals, the pictures rnight be a series which depict a story, tale or
poem. The buttons are ahnost oue and one-half iuches in diameter; the
shape of the glass is convex, and the rim which binds the button together is
copper.
