For some unknown reason, there has been more significant surfacing of
Motiwala buttons in the last two months than at any time since the October
1990 Bulletin featured an in-depth article on the buttons of Motiwala
Brothers of Bombay. India. Since we havc had so many new members since
that time, we felt that we should rccap these buttons and the work of this
master of modern buttons of the 50's. His nante. unknown to collectors
before his direct mail carnpaign, became a household word to those collectors
lucky enough to respond to his mail order offers.
