numerous small kindnesses that have corne our way.
I am taking this opportunity of asking each one of you to send me

National has lost t.wo long, time members in the death of these friends,
as both Mrs. Cleveland and Mr. Johnson joined our Society in 1948. We
extend our sympathy to the families of these friends.
Mrs. Cleveland was a member of the Half-Moon CIub, and the New
l-ork State Society. She was interested in the hobby at an early date and
r:xhibited many trays of buttons in 1941 at the New Jersey State Show.
Robert W. Johnson was known nationally as a serious collector of
uniform buttons. Because of his interest in world history he collected
both the American and Foreign buttons and catalogued them very carefully.
For a number of years he served as a judge in Division 2.
Mr. Johnson was greatly interested in our National Society. In the
Ivlissouri State Button Society he held the ofrce of Second Vice-president.
He attended both the National and State meetings annually and will be
greatly rnissed by his many friends.
