LASER ENGRAVED BUTTONS
Laser work, easily identified by its precision, is used to both carve and engrave. The laser vaporizes the shell as it cuts, creating surfaces with delicate detail to heavily embossed, pierced or intaglio images. The button surface can be dyed, lacquered, lustered or painted prior to or after being treated with a laser. Laser buttons have been made for nearly 30 years: just think of how many examples are out there waiting to be discovered! Maxine Casey Richmond and Simone Carbonneau-Kincaid authored this 20-page exploration of lasered buttons, based upon articles that first appeared in Ohio and Idaho. Domestic shipping is included.
