BUTTONS BY FRENCH JEWELRY DESIGNER LEA STEIN by Debbie Campbell
Video length: approx. 27 minutes.
Div III Class 12-2.3 Cellulose Acetate
This presentation focuses on the little bits of button art created by French Jewelry designer Lea Stein, who stated her designs, “all started with buttons”. The creative layering of Rhodoid with other materials makes these buttons unique, beautiful, collectible and unfortunately, imitated. See many examples of Stein’s work in just a few minutes.
Debbie is a member of the NBS, the Washington and Idaho Sate societies, and attends local club meetings between travel and crafting. Retirement has allowed much more time to sort through her button stash and to find new types of buttons to collect, such as Lea Stein.
