About      

The National Button Society (NBS) is committed to the Education, Preservation, and Exhibition of buttons. NBS promotes educational research and exhibitions, the publication and dissemination of information about buttons, and the preservation of the aesthetic and historical significance of buttons. Membership is open to individuals and organizations who support the objectives of NBS.

NBS History     

NBS was founded in 1938, with many state and local button clubs forming soon thereafter. The first NBS button show was held the next year in Chicago. Today regional, state and local clubs gather throughout the year and also host button gatherings. NBS has more than 2,700 members on four continents, with 39 of the 50 states represented by state and local clubs.
