NBS Show Donations Sought
Live Auction. Buttons, buttons, buttons. We’re looking for high quality, highly desirable collectors’ buttons or sets of buttons or belt buckles for the auction. All items (or scans of the items) are to be shipped to Gil Biggie, Auction Chairperson, in advance of the show. We are hoping to produce an auction guide that can be used as a reference for potential bidders and get some scans of the items up on the net. This requires having items or at the least, some scans, in advance. Contact Gil Biggie
The auction will be Thursday, August 9th.
NBS Show Marketplace
Some of us call this activity “ways and means”. It is one of two major fund-raisers we’ll have at the 2012 National show. We’re looking for items that we can sell at the “Marketplace” tables. Ideal is for the item to have a button-related theme. But it is not an absolute rule. Perhaps you or others you know could make or purchase items for us to sell? Popular are button book covers, padded fabric tray covers, tray totes, note cards, jewelry made of beads and buttons (no-harm), home décor items, quilts (lap size or larger), clothing (shirts, vests, skirts, scarves), kitchen items such as hot pads, mitts, appliance covers… you get the idea. Items should be priced and delivered to
Marty Mealey, Marketplace Chair. Contact her to coordinate if items are to be shipped ahead or delivered to the show itself. She prefers that items be brought to her at the show hotel.
